My name is Anna-Lena Aagesson. I’m from Sweden, 47 years old, and a mother of two lovely children. I have a background in medical healthcare but have worked at IKEA Kalmar since 2007 as a sales co-worker and in the Customer Relations department. It was during a campaign for UNICEF in our store I realised that I, because of my medical education and my strong wish to help, both could and wanted to contribute in some form of fieldwork. I’m incredibly pleased and overwhelmed at the opportunity to be part of this trip and to be able to see, first hand, what we can achieve as co-workers and customers together with the IKEA Foundation. I’m so looking forward to seeing the result of the IKEA Foundation’s work and the big difference it makes for children in the world’s poorest countries.
