I am Engji. I was born in the beautiful city of Prizren in Kosovo. In 1999, when I was only four years old, I had to flee to Albania as a refugee, escaping the devastating war that captured Kosovo at the time. Luckily, I returned to Kosovo and, thanks to the educational opportunities I was given as a child, I was able to gain a good quality education and study International Development.
My experience has developed a passion in me to help poor and marginalised children realise their full potential in life. I have recently joined the wonderful family of Save the Children in Kosovo, working as a Communications Officer, and could not be happier in working in an organisation that makes the world a better place by protecting the rights of children all around the world. In my spare time I love to read, travel to new places, play with my cats and sing.
