Cultural Anthropologist and Co-worker at IKEA Netherlands I work in the Haarlem store in Potential Kitchen & Dining In the last couple of decades, we, as humans, have realised that sustainability is very much an issue for us as people and our planet. It is an issue that needs to be addressed as soon as possible. I have always known the importance of sustainability but, during my studies and travels, I developed a true passion for it. I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to witness up close the work that Save the Children does. I think this IWitness trip will make us realise that we, as people, are all linked no matter how many miles there are between us. The everyday decisions we make as co-workers can very much have a profound effect on children in the Philippines. I hope we will come back with an even stronger sense of responsibility to make sure that this effect we have is a positive one!
