Nuzhad Chagan

Tjena! Hello here and welcome to the personality that is me, Nuz. I joined IKEA 4 years ago and was based in the Birmingham store working in Marketing before moving onto Dublin for just over a year before landing in Gateshead, 5 months ago as Marketing manager. It has been an amazing experience where my passion for people and community can really be nurtured and I feel like I can make an impact. For many of you that know me; I am the bubbly, chattybox who I think lights up when I get the chance to talk about IKEA and my job. I admittedly was very emotional going through the interview process and to secure a place on the trip with Save the Children as an IKEA Foundation IWitness Ambassador. I feel so grateful every day for the opportunities I have been blessed with as things could have turned out very differently for me. I am so proud to represent the Gateshead store but also the UK and IKEA on the trip this year to Vietnam. I have been involved in all my roles across all the stores in driving the agenda for People and Community. I have also been active in supporting the children teams in store to drive the Good Cause Campaigns from a marketing side and also supporting fund raising activities or sending the soft toys off as part of the give twice part of the campaign. It has been very rewarding as we have had great engagement and success. The learnings will help me support this year in Gateshead. It is an honour to be able to see things full circle this year; to understand and see where all the commitment in store comes to life in improving the life of children through the work that Save the Children do in Vietnam. I am most excited to gain a new set of new friends but also a team that together we can deliver an even better engagement this year for the Good Cause Campaign.

Taking giant steps in highlighting children’s rights is what IKEA Foundation and Save the Children are driving in Vietnam
