Heading to visit Cambodian children

Hej!
Our IWitness team (Agata, Asia, Magda, Grzegorz and Tomek) is getting ready to depart Poland and head for the Cambodian capital—Phnom Penh. During the coming four days, we will be visiting schools and meeting students who benefit from the Soft Toys for Education campaign, which is the result of the co-operation between the IKEA Foundation and Save the Children. We are also going to meet those who are engaged in creating better educational opportunities for kids in Cambodia—local Save the Children co-workers, school principals, committee members and other partners involved.

This will be the first time when co-workers from IKEA Poland take part in the IWitness Global Citizens Programme. This will be also be the first time for all of us to visit Cambodia, to get to know the work of the IKEA Foundation and Save the Children, and to see “live” how our common engagement in Good Cause campaigns helps children in distant parts of the world.
We are very excited and cannot wait to start the trip, meet the children and their families and teachers, talk to them and find out more about their lives and changes that we can all create together.

We’d like to use this exceptional opportunity to share with you all we will witness—observations, talks, emotions, reflections. We will be your eyes and ears in far-away Cambodia, so stay tuned!
