Hi! I’m Kai. I’m working for IKEA in Germany with Internal Communications, and I’m supporting Save the Children and UNICEF. Both are our global partners when it comes to children’s rights and education programs.
We have a Soft Toy campaign every year at IKEA, and for every soft toy we sell we donate 1 euro to UNICEF and Save the Children. Now I will accompany a group of IKEA coworkers who are going to Bangladesh to visit Save the Children education projects there for children.
I want to show you on the map where we are going to. We will fly to Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh and visit some programs there. Then we will fly to the south, to Chittagong. From Chittagong, we will go by car four or five hours into the mountains on the border of India and Myanmar. There we’ll see children’s projects for the first time in school.
During the trip, we want to inform you about our experiences, what we are seeing and how the people react and how they learn. But in Bangladesh there are regular power cuts and we may not have internet access. So we are not quite sure if we can send photos or text or videos day by day, but please be patient and curious about what we will send you.
See you later!
