Let’s play for change in Myanmar

Children have always been one of IKEA’s priorities, so we brought LATTJO stacking game, BEVISA card game and MALA felt-tip pens in the spirit of “ Let’s Play for Change.” These props really allowed us to witness the unlimited imagination and creativity children developed in the activities.

Therefore, we decided to let the children decorate small horses, so that they can learn when playing, and play while learning. Multi-coloured small horses decorated with colourful stickers represent the colourful future we wish for them. With Save the Children’s support, there is a change in children’s education, which promises them the chance to grow and embrace a different future.

Children here seemed to be especially shy when we were playing together indoors. But once we all went outdoors in the afternoon, they seemed to become unreserved under the sun and were running while big smiles gradually appeared on their faces. They were enjoying their time of being kids—isn’t this what all five-year-old children deserve?
