People with dignity who look after themselves

For an IKEA co-worker representing the IKEA Foundation is a privilege. Over and above the satisfaction you get from seeing that the donations raised during our Soft Toys for Education campaign have been used for innovation projects firmly rooted in everyday life, the moments shared with the children and their families are very emotional.

The people we met in Burkina Faso don’t expect everything from the outside world and do their utmost to improve their daily lives, so much so that they gave us this message:

“If you are going to live just a single day, plant flowers. If you are going to live just a few months, plant trees. But if you are going to live several centuries, educate your children.”

I share with you some pictures to show the Burkina Faso spirit.
