Thanks for your interest in reaching out to us. We’re a small team with limited ability to respond to individual inquiries, so we’ve put some of the most common questions we get here for you. You can also click here to find more of our frequently asked questions.
How can I apply for funding from the IKEA Foundation?
The IKEA Foundation does not accept unsolicited grant applications or requests for funding. We partner with programmes managed by a combination of established and well-regarded non-governmental organisations, intergovernmental organisations and other organisations in local communities.
We are not able to provide funding for individuals.
What if I’m looking to get an IKEA store to sponsor me or my activity?
The IKEA Foundation is separate from IKEA the business – we are a philanthropic organisation focused on climate change and livelihood improvement in some of the most vulnerable communities in the world, however, IKEA the business is active in local communities and we encourage you to reach out directly to your local store if you’d like to connect with them for sponsorship opportunities.
You can find contact information on www.ikea.com.
I’m not happy about something that happened at an IKEA store, what can I do about it?
We’re sorry to hear that. The IKEA Foundation is separate from IKEA the business, and we have no oversight over store operations. We encourage you to reach out through the contact information on www.ikea.com to share any concerns you may have.
I’m looking for you to participate in an event, research project, internship, etc.
We are so grateful that many are interested in hearing from our team and wish we could participate in everything. Unfortunately, we are a small group of people without the capacity to support each and every project. We primarily focus on providing support to our existing partners and would also encourage you to contact one of our partners that might be related to the project you’re looking for support with.
