Employment promotion for women for the green transformation (WE4D)

The IKEA Foundation is supporting the Women’s Employment for Development (WE4D) programme in Kenya to advance economic opportunities through green and inclusive job creation, focusing on women. The project supports circular economy businesses in the waste sector to improve livelihoods for marginalized communities. Over three years, it will create jobs for 7,100 people (70% women) and divert or recycle 6,000 tons of waste.
