Methane is responsible for roughly 45% of recent net global warming and is currently the second-largest contributor to climate change. It is incredibly potent — 86 times more thanCO2 — which means curbing pollution here can help stave off catastrophic changes to the climate.
The Global Methane Hub helps countries meet their methane reduction goals by funding innovative solutions—such as satellite technology to detect oil and gas leaks—acrosskey sectors like energy, agriculture, and waste.
