Content may not be used in a context that is directed towards private monetary compensation or for direct or indirect commercial advantage. Content can only be used where the sole purpose is to educate, inform or advocate with an audience about the IKEA Foundation and its partnerships. All Content must be featured with credits and captions (as specified below) if available, in all media, including social media and smartphone applications, that is visible on or with the images. Captions

Captions add critical information to all photos, helping viewers to better understand the context in which the image was made and its relevance to the IKEA Foundation’s work. At a minimum each caption should include:

  • If possible the names(s) of the main subjects(s); if this is not possible, please describe their function (i.e “village health advisor” or relation to others in the photo).
  • The country where the photo was taken.
  • The year the photo was taken and more precise date if relevant.

Credits

A credit should always be included with the photos and videos used. Full embedding of credit information in an image is a good way to ensure that this core information stays with the image wherever it goes. The copyright symbol © should appear before any credit. Usually, credit follows this format:

The information available on or via our website is for general information purposes only. No rights can be derived from the information provided.
